According to Mohre, businesses must protect employees' health and safety while they travel to and from outside work sites.
In light of the forecasted continuation of rain and thunderstorms in certain regions of the United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) urged private enterprises to implement flexible work arrangements for tomorrow, November 17.
The ministry stated in its advise that "necessary measures need to be taken by companies to ensure (essential) outdoor work...complies with occupational health and safety requirements."
"Businesses must also protect employees' health and safety when they travel to and from outdoor work sites."
It was stated earlier today that due to heavy rainfall, government schools in Ras Al Khaimah will hold remote courses tomorrow. The emirate's crisis management teams were also placed on high alert.
For the next two days, the east, north, and coastal regions of the nation are predicted to see lightning, thunder, and rain of varying intensities.
When a 28-day rainstorm hit the UAE about three weeks ago, Mohre also promoted flexible work schedules for a day.
When is Dubai's Winter?
In Dubai, the winter season runs from December to March, mirroring the seasons in the northern hemisphere. Still, it's improbable that most of North America and Europe won't experience snow and extremely low temperatures. Dubai prefers to enter a moderate winter with clear blue skies, bright days, and crisp, cool evenings—but not often with temperatures that most people would consider COLD.
Dubai's seasons are best characterized as just summer and winter, with extreme heat variations between them (or hot, very hot, and OMG, I can't believe it gets that HOT!). The city does not experience the typical four seasons.
