Dubai: New entity will take over the emirate's healthcare system
The three primary pillars of Dubai Health are research, education, and healthcare.
Motivated by the tagline "Patient First," Dubai Academic Health Corporation will now function under the moniker "Dubai Health," as revealed on Saturday by Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The goal of the new logo is to "consolidate Dubai's leadership in advancing healthcare excellence across the domains of health, education, and research by encapsulating essential pillars that underscore collaborative teamwork."
Using social media platform X, Sheikh Hamdan announced the rebranding of Dubai Health, the first integrated academic health system in the emirate, with the goal of improving patient care.
Take care, educate, and explore
The qualities of caring, education, and exploration serve as the foundation of the new brand identity. The logo's core arch, which is represented by three arches grounded by a foundation, stands for care, which is demonstrated via nurturing and compassionate guardianship of limitless potential. The logo's solid foundation symbolizes giving, while the secondary arches stand for education and exploration.
Dubai's combination of these four missions places it in line with the world's top academic health systems, improving patient outcomes and promoting sustainability and accessibility in the healthcare industry.
All-encompassing network
With six hospitals, twenty medical fitness facilities, and 26 outpatient medical care locations, Dubai Health has grown into a complete network. The project encompasses not only physical health facilities but also organizations like Al Jalila Foundation and Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Additionally, it will launch an easy-to-use app and a 24/7 toll-free phone center to improve accessibility and ease public communication.
More than 11,000 experts work together in interdisciplinary teams at Dubai Health to deliver compassionate, evidence-based treatment. With more than 4.7 million outpatient visits, almost 350,000 ER visits, and more than 60,000 patient admissions in 2022, "Dubai Health" has achieved a number of firsts. Notably, it has attracted more than 1,000 students from different academic fields across the globe, awarded 60 scholarships and 100 research grants, and helped 8,686 people in need of medical attention.
Primary provider
"Dubai Health will be the city's main supplier of healthcare services, offering giving, education, research, and treatment. The MBRU president, Dr. Amer Ahmad Sharif, stated, "This move integrates healthcare facilities, academic institutions, and professionals and enables collaboration with the private sector."
