Abu Dhabi authorizes about 5,600 Emiratis' housing package
United Arab Emirates: All kinds of home loans were included in the most recent package.
It was reported on Wednesday that a housing benefits package valued at Dh7.6 billion has been approved for distribution to thousands of Emiratis living in Abu Dhabi.
In honor of the 52nd UAE National Day, the fund's distribution was approved by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. As the ruler of Abu Dhabi, the President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has also given the order for this.
3,714 UAE nationals have benefited from housing loans of various kinds totaling Dh6 billion included in the most recent package.
Retirees with low incomes and the families of individuals who died in 2023 are also excused from loan payments. Over Dh573 million was allocated to this fund section, covering 549 citizens.
1,422 Emiratis will also receive residential plots and homes valued Dh950 million from the fund.
The overall amount of housing packages granted in the emirate this year is Dh13.44 billion, from which 9,292 United Arab Emirates Nationals have benefited. This payment would help 5,685 Emiratis around Abu Dhabi.
The head of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority's board of directors and chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, expressed his appreciation to the leaders for their ongoing support of the housing industry.
The director-general of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, stated that his staff is currently working to implement the directions through the organization's services and programs.
