Ask someone what they like most about living in Qatar and you are sure to get a wide range of answers.
Is it the great galleries and public art? Gorgeous parks and green spaces? Or the fact that Doha is regularly voted as one of the safest cities in the world?
Whatever brought you here, and made you stay, you seem to be in good company - Qatar has just been ranked among the top ten countries in the world for expats.
The HSBC Expat Explorer 2021 Report has just been released, and among the 46 countries surveyed, Qatar is ranked 10th.
Qatar ranked third among the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, after the UAE in fourth place and Bahrain in eighth place.
The rest of the top ten is made up of Switzerland in first place, followed by Australia and New Zealand in second and third places.
Guernsey ranked fifth, Jersey ranked sixth, and the Isle of Man ranked seventh. Finally, Singapore was ranked as the 9th best place in the world for expats.
More than 20,000 people were polled in April and May this year for the rating, which is in its 14th year.
The Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey region ranked first for quality of life, with 71% of expats recommending it.
Expats also rated Qatar as one of the countries where children learn to open up to new cultures.
