Kuwait applauds the UN Security Council's statement

Today, the State of Kuwait celebrated the statement issued by the UN Security Council condemning the Houthi militia attacks on Saudi civilian lands.

The UN Security Council's statement today denouncing the Houthi militia's attacks on the sovereign territory and civilian infrastructure of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was warmly received by the State of Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the council's assessment of the threat presented by Houthi practises to the security and stability of the region and its states and to the aggravation of the suffering of the Yemeni people is supported by this declaration.

The statement urges the Houthi militia to cooperate with efforts being made by the international community, including the persistent efforts and initiatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reach a comprehensive and desired political solution to the Yemeni crisis, and affirms the importance the Council attaches to the Yemen crisis and the need to find a political solution to it.

The ministry extended its profound gratitude to the Security Council's members for upholding their obligations to preserve world peace and security and for their assistance in putting an end to the Yemeni crisis.
